Can ChatGPT generate a floor plan?
It can suggest rooms and make an image of a plan, but not one to scale with areas that add up. Ask it for a list of rooms with sizes and type that list into the floor plan maker.
Is the floor plan maker free?
Drawing and seeing every area is free, and so is a small PNG with a watermark. Your first home exports without the mark for free for 30 days. After that you pay $5 per home or take Pro from $24 a month.
Can I make a floor plan from a photo or PDF?
Yes. Upload the photo or PDF, set the scale with one length you know, such as a door, and trace the walls. The areas appear as you draw.
Can I export to PDF and PNG?
Yes, as PNG, SVG or a PDF to scale, with the room names, the dimensions and the total on the plan.
Does it calculate square footage?
Yes. Every room and the total are calculated while you draw, with what counts and why. ANSI Z765 mode shows the gross living area the way appraisers measure it.
Do I need an account?
No. You can draw and see every area without one; your plan stays in this browser. Sign in when you want to keep a home in your account or share it.
