Drawing, all numbers and 3D are free; a free export is a PNG of 800 × 450 pixels with a watermark. Your first home is free, once per account. Unlock one home for $5, take it with the measurement report for $7.50, or take Pro for 15 new homes a month in your workspace.

Unlock a home or get Pro: step by step
1. Add the home to your account
Unlocking works for homes in your account. Without an account, Export tells you to sign in and add the home first.
2. Your first home for free
In Export, without Pro or an unlocked home, click Unlock this home for free. The home is unlocked for 30 days, without the measurement report. This works once per account and once per email address, and needs no card. It is not offered when other accounts already took it on this device or network, nor with a disposable email address; your account still works.
3. Unlock one home
Click Export and then Unlock this home. Keep 30 days, every file, tick the box and pay at our payment provider, Paddle. One home is $5; the price shows before you pay. Paddle opens its secure checkout on our page Secure checkout; after paying you go back to Squaremetry.
4. Your currency
Prices show in the currency of the country you buy from, not the language of the editor: pounds in the UK, euros in the euro area, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars there, and US dollars elsewhere. Each currency has its own fixed price. In the UK, the EU, Australia and New Zealand the price includes VAT or GST; in the US and Canada tax is added at checkout. The line at the bottom of Unlock to export says which: Prices include VAT, Prices include GST, or Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. You cannot pick another currency; Paddle charges the amount you saw.
5. Export without the mark
Back in the editor you see Payment received. For 30 days, exports of this home come without the mark, and DXF and the 3D model are open.
6. Add the measurement report
In Plan, on the Measurement sheet (Review in the rail), under the report buttons, click Home with measurement report, $7.50. You get this home for 30 days with the professional measurement report and the FML. Already unlocked the home? The button says Add the report, $2.50: you pay only the difference. The indicative report stays free, with the small mark.
7. Take Pro
Open Settings, then Plan and billing. Tick the box and choose Pro per month ($24) or per year ($179). Pro is for the whole workspace and includes the measurement report. In a team, Team is offered per month or per year; see Invite your team. You can also take Pro in Export itself: without Pro or an unlocked home, Export shows Pro with its price in the window itself. Tick the box and click the Pro button with the price. After payment you come back to your home and the export you chose starts by itself. If the confirmation of the payment takes a moment, Export says so and waits.
8. New homes each month
Pro includes 15 new homes a month. In Export you see what is left, such as "3 of 15 new homes left this month in your plan.". A home counts once: exporting it again is free, also later. When the homes of the month are used, choose Download small, with a watermark, One more home, $4, 5 more homes, $15, or See Pro and Team. Unused homes do not carry over to the next month: the count starts again on the 1st of every calendar month. 5 more homes count only in the month you buy them.
9. Money back
14 days money back on your first payment, no questions asked. Email us within 14 days of your first payment; this is once per account and email address. Found a mistake in how Squaremetry applies a measuring rule? Report it. We look into it, and if it is our fault, you get that home back and we fix the rule. A full refund stops Pro or Team at once; a partial refund leaves it running.
10. Cancel or withdraw
You cancel in a few clicks from Settings: Plan and billing, then Cancel Pro (or Cancel Team). You first see when it stops; click Yes, cancel Pro, or Keep Pro to leave everything as it is. It keeps working until the end of the period. Changed your mind? Until that date, click Undo cancellation and Pro simply continues. What stays after you cancel tells you that nothing is deleted. The last paid version of each home stays downloadable without the mark: in Export, and in My homes next to the home, click Download the last paid version (as of the date). If you changed the plan after that, Export says: You changed the plan after that. A clean export of the new version needs a right again. You can also cancel without signing in: click Cancel your subscription here (at the bottom of the start screen, in the ? menu and at the bottom of every page of the website), fill in your name and the email address of your account, and click Cancel now. You see a confirmation with the date and time right away, and get it by email with the end date. No trial or price ever asks for a card before you buy. Within 14 days you can also withdraw, unless you bought as a business: from Pro or Team, and from an unlocked home, which is then locked again. You pay for the days used and get the rest back. A version from a purchase you withdrew no longer counts as paid. Receipts are under Payments and receipts.
11. Payment details and invoices
In Plan and billing, an owner or admin clicks Open payment details and invoices. At Paddle, our payment partner, you change your card, download invoices or cancel. The link works for a short time; click again for a new one.
Messages you may see
- Free exports are a small PNG with a watermark.
- The checkout could not open. Nothing was charged. Try again.
- Payment canceled. Nothing was charged.
- Only an owner or admin can change the plan.
- This home is unlocked without the measurement report. Add the report and the FML for $2.50, until the unlock ends.
- This home already counts this month: exporting it again is free.
- You used the 15 new homes of this month in your plan. Download small with a watermark, buy one more home for $4 or 5 more for $15, or take Team.
- The free home was already used by this account or e-mail address.
- The free home was already taken on this device or network by other accounts. You can still unlock this home or take Pro.
- The free home is not available with a disposable email address. Your account works as normal; you can unlock this home or take Pro.
- PDF comes with an unlocked home or Pro. Free: a small PNG with a watermark.
- This payment link is not complete. Nothing was charged.
- There is nothing to show yet: this workspace has not paid anything.
